The Indiana Association of Nurse Anesthetists exists to promote the safety of patients in Indiana who receive anesthesia as well as to provide support to CRNAs who practice here.
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists are professional Registered Nurses who have completed graduate education in the administration of anesthesia and have successfully passed the national board examination for Nurse Anesthetists. CRNAs perform many services, including all types of anesthesia – general anesthesia, regional anesthesia including major nerve blocks of all types, spinal and epidural anesthesia for surgery and postoperative pain, management of labor pain, interventional pain management, and invasive services for critical care and other settings. Nurse Anesthetists are experts in providing sedation for outpatient procedures for pediatric as well as adult patients.
In Indiana, CRNAs practice in virtually every setting, from doctors’ offices to outpatient surgery centers to hospitals of every size. Many of our rural hospitals rely solely on Nurse Anesthetists to provide anesthesia services.
You can rest easy knowing that Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists are qualified expert anesthesia providers and are ready to provide you or your loved one in Indiana with safe, quality anesthesia care.
